Flying Droids
R2D2 was Anakin Skywalker’s faithful X-Wing droid guide, and so it is very fitting that Disney and All Nippon Airways teamed up to bring you an entire airplane dedicated to the adorable little robot. The force was certainly strong in this artist, who brought the details of the iconic droid to life across the entire plane. Trekkies might have to wait for their own airplane, but until then, Star Wars reigns supreme.
Jackson Pollock’s Plane
Here we have an unusual passenger plane and a rare sight for this list. The M3 Charter Jet is a highly exclusive private jet, and this particular model looks like it was approached by Jackson Pollock. With its lime-green base and enormous splatters of yellow, red, blue and black paint, this is one flight that you will not forget, provided that you can afford the ticket! One day, you will be able to…
Big Plane, Big Cat
The Amur Tiger Center and Rossi’s Airlines partnered to bring you this titanic celebration of the noble tiger. This towering Boeing 737 is unique with its stunning visage of a striking Amur Tiger perfectly placed at its nose. This masterpiece required half a ton of paint to finish, giving you some an indication of how enormous it is. Of course, the artist completed the entire painting by hand from start to finish.
Frozen Airlines
If your child is struggling against your grip to rush onto this Frozen-themed beauty, maybe you should let it go. This is no small task, bringing the modern Disney princesses to life on such a grand scale, requiring around 170 paint gallons’ worth of the 23 separate colors needed for the task. That is according to WestJet, the Canadian airline responsible for this awe-inspiring work.
Look out for this next airplane, it might bite!
